New features and improvements in NTA 2020.2
NTA 2020.2 offers the following new features and improvements compared to previous releases of NTA.
IP address groups unification with SolarWinds IPAM
NTA now provides IP address groups unification with IPAM. With the new IP Address Groups Management page, you can create, delete, or update IP address groups. You can also import IPAM IP address groups and use them the same way as standard NTA IP address groups.
VMware IPFIX support
Starting with NTA 2020.2, you can view and analyze flow data from a VMware infrastructure.
Improvements in device configuration
As of NTA 2020.2, you can reconcile the traffic volumes across multiple interfaces to accurately represent traffic flowing through a node and avoid double-counted traffic. Using the Orion Web Console, you can define how the devices are configured in order to reconcile new incoming flows.
Other improvements
For new features and improvements in Orion Platform 2020.2, see the Orion Platform 2020.2 Release Notes.
New customer installation
For information about installing NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, see the SolarWinds Orion Installer.
How to upgrade
Use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to upgrade your entire Orion deployment (all Orion Platform products and any scalability engines) to the current versions.
If you are upgrading from NTA 4.6, you can upgrade your entire Orion deployment from the My Orion Deployment page. Downloading the Orion Installer is no longer necessary.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, use this topic to plan and implement an upgrade to the current version of NTA.
