Discovery Central
Discovery Central provides a centralized overview of the types and number of network objects you are monitoring with currently installed SolarWinds Platform products.
Use buttons in sections to add more objects for monitoring from this page.
Click Go to Orion Home to open the Orion Summary Home view for your monitored network.
To discover more objects (nodes, volumes, interfaces) for monitoring simultaneously, click Discover My Network in the relevant section, and then click Add New Discovery. See Discover your network for the SolarWinds Platform with the Discovery Wizard.

Network Discovery
The Network Discovery section provides the number of nodes and volumes that are currently monitored. This information is available for all installed SolarWinds Platform products.
To add a single device, click Add A Single Node. See Add a single node for monitoring
Interface Discovery
The Interface Discovery section provides the number of interfaces on which you can monitor network traffic. This information is available for Network Performance Monitor.
To discover interfaces for monitoring, click Discover My Network, and then click Add New Discovery. See Discover your network for the SolarWinds Platform with the Discovery Wizard.
Virtualization Discovery
The Virtualization Discovery section provides the number of currently monitored virtual devices, including VMware vCenters, Datacenters, clusters, ESX Servers, and virtual machines. This information is both available for all SolarWinds Platform products.
Agent Deployment
Agents provide an additional method to poll devices that are part of a separate network or have intermittent connectivity to the network with your SolarWinds Platform server.
To deploy agents to devices that can be accessed from the SolarWinds Platform server, click Deploy Agent on My Network. See Deploying Agent Software via SolarWinds Platform server Push.
To deploy agents manually to devices, click Download Agent Installation Files. This option is often used when deploying agents to devices that are not on the same network as the SolarWinds Platform server. See Deploying the Agent Manually.
Additional Discovery Central Resources
Each SolarWinds Platform product provides its own Discovery Central resource with the number of objects that are currently monitored in the product. See the Administrator Guide for the appropriate product.
