Manage Pollers in Device Studio

By creating Device Studio pollers, you can extend Orion to support new devices. This way you can poll arbitrary OIDs as native data fields.

You can perform the following actions with Device Studio pollers:

• Assign Device Studio pollers to monitored devices.
• Edit, or duplicate and edit the poller.
• Scan new nodes with the poller.

  To scan new nodes with a Device Studio poller during network discoveries or when you add a single node, select the poller, and click Enable/Disable Scanning on New Nodes > Enable.

• Enable or disable collecting data defined by SolarWinds native pollers, such as Hardware Health or EnergyWise pollers. The procedure is the same as for enabling or disabling custom pollers.
• Export or import the poller. See Monitor devices with NPM using THWACK community pollers.
• Delete unused pollers.
