New features and improvements in KCT

Support for Windows Server 2022

KCT now supports Windows Server 2022. See Windows Server 2022 for more information about what's included in Windows Server 2022.

Parameter input sanitization in reports and emails

Input parameters used in reports and emails have been sanitized to improve KCT user data integrity and security.

Define a password for the DB.Backup.CatTools activity

Instead of using your login password, you can now set a password specifically for the DB.Backup.CatTools activity to restore backup files.

Set up your login password after startup

If you have not created a login password, a dialogue box to assist you in setting the password will populate once KCT has started.

Validate your password strength

KCT now validates the strength of your password using parameters such as length, complexity, and uniqueness to secure your configuration.

Mask passwords in the Device.Update.Password activity

Password masking, a security measure to prevent others from viewing your password on your screen, has been implemented for the Device.Update.Password activity.

Upgraded Codejock library

The Codejock SuitePro Active X library used in KCT has been upgraded to include enhancements to the user experience and functionality. See Version 22.1.0 in the Codejock release notes for details.

Upgraded IPWorks libraries

The IPWorks libraries used in KCT have been upgraded to include the new components, security features, and improved development tools in version 2024. See Version 2024 Updates for details.
