Effective December 31, 2024, IpMonitor will reach its end of life and will no longer be available or supported. If you liked IpMonitor, consider trying another SolarWinds product.

Uninstall ipMonitor

You may need to uninstall ipMonitor to resolve an issue, end your evaluation, or move the application to a new server during a migration. Be sure to deactivate your ipMonitor license before you uninstall the application.

Do not manually delete your ipMonitor installation or reformat the ipMonitor host computer hard drive without properly deactivating your ipMonitor license. Using improper procedures to uninstall ipMonitor will result in the permanent destruction of your licensing key.

Deactivate your license

Follow the deactivation procedure for your ipMonitor version.

ipMonitor 10 and later

If you are running ipMonitor 10 and later, you can use the SolarWinds License Manager to activate or deactivate your ipMonitor license. If the SolarWinds License Manager is not installed on your server, log in to the Customer Portal and click Downloads > License Manager to download the application.

  1. Log in to your ipMonitor server.
  2. Verify that the server is connected to the Internet through your corporate firewall.

  3. Click Start > Program > SolarWinds > SolarWinds License Manager.

  4. Select ipMonitor, and then click Deactivate.

    Your ipMonitor license is now available for use on another server.

ipMonitor 9 and earlier

Use the Software Licensing program to park your ipMonitor license.

  1. Click Start > SolarWinds ipMonitor > ipMonitor Configuration Program,.
  2. Click Software Licensing.

  3. Clicking Park License, and then save your changes.

    Your ipMonitor license is now available for use on another server.

Uninstall ipMonitor

Follow the uninstall procedure for your operating system.

Windows Server 2012 or later system

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Navigate to the Control Panel.
  3. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.
  4. Under Uninstall or change a program, select ipMonitor.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. Follow the prompts on your screen to uninstall the application.

Windows 10 system

  1. Click the Start menu.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. In the Windows Settings window, click Apps.
  4. In the Apps & Features page, select ipMonitor.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. Follow the prompts on your screen to uninstall the application.
