New features and improvements
IPAM 2020.2.5 is a service release.
Amazon Web Service (AWS) region updates: The following new regions are enabled by default for standard AWS accounts used in IPAM and other Orion Platform modules that support cloud monitoring:
- Africa (Cape Town)
- Asia Pacific (Hong Kong)
- Europe (Milan)
- Europe (Stockholm)
- Middle East (Bahrain)
These new regions are also available, but are disabled by default. To enable them, see Add AWS regions.
- Asia Pacific (Osaka-Local)
- AWS GovCloud (US-East)
- China (Ningxia)

New customer installation

How to upgrade
Use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to simultaneously upgrade one or more Orion Platform products on your main Orion server.
With IPAM 4.9 and later, you can upgrade your entire Orion deployment, including the main server and all Orion Platform products, from the My Orion Deployment page. Downloading the Orion Installer for future upgrades is no longer necessary.

End of life

|4.8||June 4 2020: End-of-Life (EoL) announcement – Customers on IP Address Manager version 4.8 should begin transitioning to IP Address Manager version 2020.2.||September 4, 2020: End-of-Engineering (EoE) – Service releases, bug fixes, workaround, and service packs for IP Address Manager version 4.8 or older will no longer actively be supported by SolarWinds.||September 4, 2021: End-of-Life – SolarWinds will no longer provide technical support for IP Address Manager version 4.8 or older.|
