IP Address Manager 2020.2.1 Release Notes

These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in IP Address Manager 2020.2.1. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements
IPAM 2020.2.1 is a service release and does not include new features.
- Subnets of CIDR 13 and higher can now be exported to Excel, allowing blocks of up to 524,288 IP addresses. Previously this was CIDR 17 and higher (up to 32,768 IP addresses).

IPAM 2020.2 included the following features:
Refreshed User Interface
- Improved DHCP & DNS management page
The new DHCP & DNS management page is not compatible with Internet Explorer. SolarWinds recommends using a different browser (such as Chrome, or Firefox) for the best user experience.
- Dynamic filtering to find resources faster
- Improved workflows to streamline key tasks
- Legacy pages remain supported via toggle

New customer installation

How to upgrade
Use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to simultaneously upgrade one or more Orion Platform products on your main Orion server.
With IPAM 4.9 and later, you can upgrade your entire Orion deployment, including the main server and all Orion Platform products, from the My Orion Deployment page. Downloading the Orion Installer for future upgrades is no longer necessary.

IPAM 2020.2.1 fixes the following issues:

|Orion Web Console does not work if IPAM 2020.2 is uninstalled, and reinstalled|
|Issue: If IPAM 2020.2 is installed with or without other Orion Platform products, then uninstalled via the Windows Control Panel, and then reinstalled, the Orion Web Console does not work.|
|Work-around: Remove the <requires id="Orion.Apollo.IPAM" version="[2020.2.0.2421,]" /> line (version number may vary) in the Orion.Installer.Packaging.root file stored in the C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Packaging\Roots directory after uninstalling IPAM via the Windows Control Panel but before running ConfigurationWizard.|
