Downloading and installing Engineer's Toolset for Desktop

1. Download installation files and license from Customer Portal

If you have not yet created a SolarWinds account, see Access the Customer Portal to create an account.

  1. Go to customerportal.solarwinds.com.
  2. In the Log In tab, enter your organization's SWID and your email address.
  3. In the Downloads tab, click Download Product.
  4. Use the product and license list dropdowns to find Engineer's Toolset for Desktop.
  5. Download Engineer's Toolset for Desktop version 11.0.6.
2. Run the installation file
  1. Log in as an administrator on the machine where you wish to install Engineer's Toolset for Desktop.
  2. Extract the contents of the downloaded installation ZIP file to an easy to find temporary folder.
  3. Run SolarWinds-DesktopToolset-v11.exe.

3. Complete the installation wizard

Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

The installer scans the environment to ensure that the system requirements are met. If there's an issue with your system, the installation stops, and the installer gives you an error message describing the problem. You can find troubleshooting help in the Success Center. When you've resolved the issue, run the installer again.
