For information about installing Enterprise Operations Console, see the SolarWinds Orion Installer.

Before you upgrade!

As of the release of EOC 2.0, the Enterprise Operations Console has been rebuilt to run on the Orion Platform. If you are running EOC 2.0, you can upgrade to EOC 2020.2.5 using the same server.

Note: The organization of custom tiles in EOC 2.0 is not preserved when upgrading to 2020.2.5.

Due to this rebuild, users of versions prior to EOC 2.0 must install EOC to 2020.2.5 on a separate server. To begin using the new features, simply install EOC 2020.2.5 on a different server from your current EOC edition.

How to upgrade

If you are upgrading from EOC 2.0 or later:

  1. Use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to upgrade one or more Orion Platform products simultaneously.
  2. If your scalability engines (additional web servers and high availability servers) are able to communicate with the main server, use the centralized upgrade feature to upgrade the rest of your Orion deployment in parallel.

For details, see Install or upgrade Orion Platform products.

If you are upgrading from EOC 1.6 or earlier: use the legacy product upgrade guide to plan and then implement an upgrade to the current version of EOC.
