Documentation forEnterprise Operations Console
Unified data management across your enterprise is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Enterprise Scale edition. Enterprise Operations Console (EOC) is also available in a standalone module.

Uninstall SolarWinds EOC

You can uninstall Orion Platform modules, such as EOC 2020.2.6 and earlier. You cannot uninstall SolarWinds Platform products, such as EOC 2022.3 and later.

Complete the steps below to remove only EOC 2020.2.6 and earlier.

You may need to uninstall EOC 2020.2.6 or earlier to reinstall for resolving issues or to move to a new server during a migration.

To uninstall your entire SolarWinds Platform deployment, see Uninstall all SolarWinds Platform products from a server and prepare for a reinstall.

Uninstalling products may require uninstalling files and editing registries.

  • SolarWinds strongly recommends that you only edit files as instructed. Any additional modifications to SolarWinds Platform files may result in system performance issues or may create an error state.
  • SolarWinds strongly recommends that you back up your registry before making any edits to your system registry. You should only edit the registry if you are experienced and confident in doing so. Using a registry editor incorrectly can cause serious issues with your operating system. SolarWinds cannot guarantee resolution to any damage resulting from making registry edits.

Before you begin

Prior to uninstalling, SolarWinds recommends the following preparation of your environment:

Back up the existing database

To preserve your data, back up your database(s). If you need help with backups, check your vendor's site for documentation and instructions.

  • If you have your database on a VM, create a snapshot or copy of your VM.
  • If you need software to perform back ups and maintenance for Microsoft SQL databases, you can install SQL Management Studio Express for your specific version of Microsoft SQL on your database.
Back up product folders Create copies and backups of your product folders. You may have customizations in these folders specific to your installations.
