These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in VoIP and Network Quality Manager 4.2.2. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements in VNQM 4.2.2
VNQM 4.2.2 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of VNQM.
VNQM 4.2.2 uses Orion Platform version 2015.1.2.
Important: As of Orion Platform version 2015.1, alerts are no longer created with the desktop-based, Advanced Alerts Manager or Basic Alerts Manager. Alerts are instead created and managed in the SolarWinds Orion Web Console. For detailed information, see Creating and Managing Alerts.
New customer installation
- If you are installing VoIP and Network Quality Manager 4.2.2 with SolarWinds NPM, you must install NPM 11.5.2 or later.
- SolarWinds no longer supports Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.
- SolarWinds no longer supports Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express, Standard, or Enterprise.
Before you upgrade
You can upgrade to VoIP and Network Quality Manager 4.2.2 from version 4.1 and above. If you are using IP SLA Manager 3.5.1, you must first upgrade to version 4.1, and then upgrade to version 4.2.2. VNQM 4.2.2 fixes the following issues.
|Deadlock scenario occurring while CDRs are updated with CMRs, and the Phones and Gateways tables are updated at the same time. (VNQM 4.2 Hotfix 1)||681284, 699474|

|The IP SLA Summary view shows the number of registered and unregistered phones incorrectly.||762718, 739717|
