Public Status Page

Pingdom's Public Status Page allows you to display the status of your Uptime checks and give other people access to the reports without requiring a SolarWinds Unified Login user account.

To find the URL of your Public status page and define the status page's contents, click Synthetics > Public Status Page.

Overview tab

Click the Overview tab to find the URL of your status page and define which checks should be included in the page.

Status page URL

The URL of your organization's public status page is in the upper right corner of the Overview tab. Provide this URL to anyone who needs to see the status of your organization's Uptime checks without logging into Pingdom.

To access a secure version of the status page, change the domain of your status page URL from http://stats.pingdom.com to https://secure-stats.pingdom.com.

Include checks in the report

Toggle an Uptime check in the list on or off. If a check is turned on, the check results are included in the public status page. The uptime check listed in the table also becomes a link to the check's individual status page. Click the uptime check link to view the individual check's status page.

Settings tab

Click the Settings tab to modify the following settings:

  1. Select between the following Design Template options:

    1. Pingdom design template uses the standard SolarWinds Pingdom logo, background color, and text color

    2. Custom design template allows you to upload your own Logotype, as well as change the background color and text color of the header, footer, and table headers.

  2. Select if you want to include an Overview of all the checks on the status page.

Deselect the Show Overview checkbox to disable the main status page and only allow access to the individual checks' status pages. Find the link to the individual checks' status pages by clicking the check name in the list in the Overview tab.

  3. Select how much data you want to display on the status page: All, 3 months back or None.

  4. If you have a Custom Domain, such as status.yourwebsite.com, that points to your organization's custom status page, enter the domain name in the field provided.

If you don't have a Custom Domain, but want to set one up, contact your DNS provider.

Custom domains cannot point to the secure version of your status page. For a secure connection, use the URL with the secure-stats.pingdom.com domain instead of your custom domain.

  5. Save the changes to update your status page with the new settings.

It is not possible to have more than one Public Status Page for your organization. It's also not possible to password protect the status page.
