Set up the dashboard

After you scan your network and select your monitors, the Devices tab displays the My Network screen.

This screen is preconfigured with visual components called widgets (formerly known as web resources) that provide at-a-glance status information about your monitored devices. Widgets collect data from your devices and display the information using graphics and text.

After you scan your network, the widgets automatically populate with data from your search. You can add or remove widgets at any time. The information can be high-level (such as a list of devices grouped by properties) or include key performance indicators (KPIs) about your monitored systems (such as CPU and memory utilization).

To prevent unauthorized access, the console automatically logs you out after 15 minutes of inactivity.

To get started:

  1. Review the widget titles in the dashboard and the Add Widgets drop-down menu and decide what types of device data you want to monitor in the dashboard.
  2. Add or remove the widgets from the dashboard as necessary.
  3. Edit the web resources in each widget so they capture the device data you want to monitor.
  4. Rearrange the widgets on your screen as needed. You can also add an additional column if necessary.

The following table lists the widgets available in the Add Widgets drop-down menu.
