New features and improvements

ipMonitor 11.1 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases.

VMware ESXi monitor

The VMware ESXi monitor allows you to collect system health information from an ESXi host system. When you create one or more VMware monitors on a host system, the SolarWinds SNAP Collector collects the system data from the host server using the vSphere API, processes the data, and returns the results to ipMonitor where it displays in the user interface.

Updated Device Discovery Wizard

The Device Discovery Wizard displays when you start ipMonitor for the first time or scan your network after the initial setup. The wizard includes a redesigned user interface with an option for discovering VMware ESXi host systems in your network.

After you enter the device credentials, you can choose the performance objects you want to monitor (such as CPU utilization and memory) and then select a corresponding monitor from a filtered list.
