Configure the Export settings
The System Settings page includes an Export Settings option that allows you to export your configuration settings to an XML file.
To configure these settings, click Configuration > System Settings > Export Settings and select the content you want to export. All selected settings are the default settings.
The ipMonitor database is a SolarWinds proprietary and binary database. This provides a relatively small and efficient database that contains several years of statistics. Because the database is proprietary, it cannot be open by a third-party application. As a result, you cannot export the database to Microsoft Excel.
Areas to Export
Select the export configuration settings you want to export in XML format.
- Click Configuration > System Settings > Export Settings.
- In the Areas to Export box, accept the default selection or adjust as required.

Click Export.
The export displays in a separate tab labeled localhost.
