IPAM 4.2 Release Notes
Release date: August 26, 2014
Congratulations on your purchase of SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM). IPAM leverages an intuitive web interface to allow you to easily investigate IP address space issues and manage your DHCP and DNS servers. By continously scanning the network for IP address changes, IPAM maintains a dynamic list of IP addresses and allows engineers to plan for network growth, ensure IP space usage meets corporate standards, and reduce IP conflicts.

IPAM 4.2 includes the following new features and improvements:
- Automatic IP subnet discovery
Scans your network and downloads routing information directly from your network devices.
New intuitive subnet Automatic Discovery Wizard creates subnet structures and imports them into IPAM for further utilization monitoring.
- Automated MAC address to vendor identification:
Icons of vendor gets displayed in IP Address view.
Additional information about device operating systems.
