These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in VoIP and Network Quality Manager 4.4. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

New features and improvements in VNQM 4.4
VNQM 4.4 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of VNQM.
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)
VNQM now supports version 11.x of the Cisco® Call Manager.
Web-based reporting
Create and edit reports using VNQM data in the Orion Web Console. You can recreate reports from the previously available Report Writer directly in the web-based Reporting feature in the Orion Web Console. Access the feature by clicking Reports > All Reports. For more information, see the VNQM Administrator Guide.
Web-based Alert Manager
Managing alerts is no longer available through the Alert Manager application. The deprecated application has been removed from the Orion Platform. Use the web-based Alert Manager through the Orion Web Console to create and manage alerts.
Avaya Aura
VNQM now supports version 6.3.x and 7.0 of the Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.

How to upgrade
If you are upgrading from VNQM 4.2.4 or later, use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to upgrade one or more Orion Platform products simultaneously.
If you are upgrade from an earlier version, use the following resources to plan and implement an upgrade to VNQM 4.2.4. Then use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to complete the upgrade.
- If you are upgrading VNQM and other modules (SAM, NCM, NTA, etc.), use the multiple products upgrade guide.
- If you are upgrading VNQM as a stand-alone product, use the single product upgrade guide.

Issue: Cannot install Additional Polling Engines (APE) or Additional Websites (AWS) when the main polling engine uses TLS 1.2. |
Resolution/Work-around: Revert the main polling engine to an earlier version of TLS to install the APE or AWS. Once the APE or AWS is fully installed, you can re-disable SSLv3, TLS 1.0, and TLS 1.1 on your main polling engine. |
End of support
This version of VoIP and Network Quality Manager no longer supports the following platforms and features.

Support for Windows Server 2008 R2 is deprecated as of this release. You can install on Windows Server 2008 R2 for this release. Future releases will no longer support installing on Windows Server 2008 R2, though you can continue to monitor computers running Windows Server 2008 R2. SolarWinds recommends that you upgrade to Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, or 2016 at your earliest convenience. |
32-bit Operating Systems |
Support for 32-bit operating systems is deprecated as of this release. You can install on 32-bit operating systems for this release. Future releases will no longer support installing on 32-bit operating systems. SolarWinds recommends that you upgrade to Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, or 2016 at your earliest convenience. This includes your SQL server. |
Export to PDF feature | The Export to PDF button on dashboards is deprecated as of this release and will be removed in a future release. SolarWinds recommends that you use the Save as PDF functionality built into your browser. |
Alert Manager | The deprecated Alert Manager application has been removed from the Orion Platform. Use the web-based Alert Manager through the Orion Web Console to create and manage alerts. |
All Active Alerts resource | The current All Active Alerts resources is deprecated as of this release. The resource will be replaced with a new, enhanced version in a future release. |
