Documentation forUser Device Tracker
Monitoring users, devices, and ports is a key capability of Hybrid Cloud Observability and is also available in a standalone module, User Device Tracker (UDT). Hybrid Cloud Observability and UDT are built on the self-hosted SolarWinds Platform.

All UDT Nodes

The All UDT Nodes widget provides a list of the nodes and ports currently monitored, grouped by node property. Monitored nodes are listed in a tree, grouped by node property, with a status icon and node or port name displayed for each node or port.

  • Hover over a node name to display a pop-up showing information about the node. Click a node name to open the Node Details view.
  • Hover over a port name to display a pop-up showing information about the port. Click a port name to open the Device Tracker Port Details page.
  • Click Manage Ports to display the Port Management page, where you can manage and monitor nodes and ports.

Edit the widget

Click Edit to edit this widget. You can modify the Title, Subtitle, and group displayed nodes into three levels, using any of the following node properties:

  • Status
  • Vendor
  • Machine Type
  • Contact
  • Location
  • IOS Image
  • IOS Version
  • Object Sub-Type
  • System OID
  • City
  • Department

You can choose how to handle nodes with null values for the selected grouping property by choosing the option to place them:

  • In the [Unknown] group
  • At the bottom of the list, in no group

Choose to remember expanded groups, if required, by checking Remember Expanded Groups.

You can also enable optional filters using SQL queries in the Filter Nodes (SQL) field to limit the displayed node list. For more information about filtering with SQL queries, see Filter nodes in widgets using SQL queries.

If you deployed SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability 2022.2, use SWQL queries. This widget was migrated to SWQL and does not support SQL anymore.

Click the expand icon next to Show Filter Examples to display some useful filter examples.

When you are finished editing the widget, click Submit.

Click Manage Ports to manage ports on nodes in your All UDT Nodes list.
