Useful APIs for SAM
Like most Orion Platform modules, SAM can be utilized in many ways by different members of your organization, depending on the tasks they need to complete and the level of detail they need. Here are some APIs that may prove useful when working with the API Poller feature. You can also check with your cloud service, software/hardware vendors, to see if they offer APIs.
Refer to API documentation posted by individual vendors for:
- Defined endpoints where data is available
- Supported request URL formats and examples
- Authentication and authorization requirements
- Troubleshooting tips
- Rate limits
Some cloud services limit the amount of free API requests per calendar month and charge for extra requests in the remaining time frame.
