New features and improvements in NAM
NAM 2019.4 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of NAM.
Native SolarWinds Service Desk Integration
Generate Service Desk incidents from Orion Alerts.
Process flow data from Meraki MX devices
As of version 2019.4, SolarWinds NTA supports processing of flow data from Meraki MX 15.13 and earlier.
Flow Sources Management and CBQoS Polling Management pages
Starting with NTA 2019.4, you can manage your flow sources and CBQoS polling using the new management pages within the Orion Web Console. You now have a lightweight way to browse and manage your sources.
New firmware upgrade template setting
Firmware upgrade templates can now specify a delay between a device rebooting and NCM checking that it is up.

- NCM now provides supports for Lenovo EtherWAN devices
- Starting with version 2019.4, SolarWinds UDT introduces two new pages focused on the Help Desk user

Before you upgrade!
If you are upgrading from a previous version, be aware of the following considerations.
- Do you have older, legacy Orion product versions in your environment? The Orion Installer provides a full upgrade path for legacy products. For older products, follow the upgrade path in order, downloading and installing using the links.
- If you have written your own code, such as changing SolarWinds
.css
files or adding.js
files, it may be overwritten with the upgrade. You can learn more about custom code in this article.
How to upgrade
If you are upgrading from NAM 2017.3 or later, use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to upgrade one or more Orion Platform products simultaneously.
If you are upgrading from an earlier version, use the multiple products upgrade guide to plan and implement an upgrade to NAM 2017.3. Then use the SolarWinds Orion Installer to complete the upgrade.
